Grecian Magnesite S.A., in collaboration with its local partner GDCI India Pvt. Ltd., recently completed a focused customer visit across Rajasthan (March 16-20, 2026), one of the most important hubs of the Indian emery stone industry.

The visit included meetings with 12 existing and prospective customers, offering valuable insights into market dynamics, production practices, and technical requirements. The Indian emery stone sector is characterized by a strong family-based industrial structure, combining long-standing know-how with a clear focus on balancing product quality and cost efficiency.

Discussions focused on product performance, formulation optimization, and application-specific requirements, highlighting the increasing need for consistent, high-quality magnesium oxide solutions, such as Grecian Magnesite’s 88C/SK grade, that enhance performance and reliability.

At the same time, several technical challenges were identified across the market, reinforcing the opportunity for Grecian Magnesite to position its products as a reliable and high-quality alternative in a market currently facing supply instability and quality fluctuations from existing sources.
