Dimitris Tsakonitis Elected to the Board of SEVE

Dimitris Tsakonitis, our Senior Management Consultant, and former General Manager of Yerakini Mines & Works, has been elected as a member of the Board of the Greek Exporters Association (SEVE) during the organization's 49th Annual General Assembly held on May 20, 2024. 

SEVE is Greece’s leading organization dedicated to promoting exports and international trade, representing over 800 companies and business groups across Greece with a total turnover of €40 billion, 70,000 employees, and €25 billion in export revenue, accounting for more than 50% of Greek exports of goods. 

The open session of the General Assembly featured Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis as the keynote speaker, with addresses by the Governor of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas and the Mayor of Thessaloniki Stelios Angeloudis. Among the guests was Margaritis Schinas, Vice President of the European Commission.

The closed session of the General Assembly, exclusive to SEVE members, reviewed SEVE's activities from June 2023 to May 2024, and elections were held for the new Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 term.

Dimitris Tsakonitis joins a diverse group of elected members dedicated to advancing SEVE's mission of enhancing Greece's international competitiveness and promoting sustainable economic growth. Tsakonitis’ extensive experience and unique skillsets will largely contribute to SEVE's strategic initiatives and goals.
