Find out a few of our community involvement programs and how Grecian Magnesite strives to make the community where we work and live a better place:
Grecian Magnesite has been organizing blood donation events in its Yerakini mine site for over 30 years already. Up to date, we have managed to collect 2.310 blood units, and donated 2.055 blood units to our employees, their relatives, and our fellow citizens.
Every summer, Grecian Magnesite offers up to 40 paid internships for adult children of our employees to provide professional experience and guidance. The program involves the enrollment of 25 to 40 young individuals, students or junior professionals, in various departments within the company. Positions are appointed according to interns’ skills and academic background and are fully compensated based on state salary standards. Interns work alongside the company’s senior staff members, where they have the opportunity to experience a well-structured industrial work environment and hone skills required for their future careers within Grecian Magnesite or wherever life takes them.
Furthermore, the company contributes with its aggregate products in the improvement of local infrastructure and other public spaces.
