GRECMAGN® TUN CS
GRECMAGN® TUN CS
GRECMAGN® TUN CS
GRECMAGN® TUN CS corresponds to a series of magnesia-based tundish dry vibrated masses that can set at room temperature without drying (Cold Setting).
Main Uses & Advantages
GRECMAGN® TUN CS series of products exhibit excellent wear resistance and refractory properties.
There are two types of cold setting dry vibrating masses:
- The first type is a dry mass with special additives that is mixed with water (1-2% water addition) and can set at room temperature.
- The second type is a dry mass without additives that is mixed with a solution of sodium silicate and an ester during application and setting of the working lining takes place without drying, at room temperature.
Special formulations have been developed for both cold and hot start of casting.
Our refractories engineering team can provide a wide range of support; from simple consultation to on-site installation services. We are committed to supplying our customers with experienced, knowledgeable personnel to assist and improve the operations of the tundish area.
Experience unparalleled efficiency and safety by pairing GRECMAGN® TUN CS with the CS ArmMixer. This combination ensures seamless application, maximizing efficiency while prioritizing safety in your operations.
Packaging & Storage
GRECMAGN® TUN CS series of products are available: in 500kg, 1.000kg or 1.500kg big bags with or without inner nylon, with or without bottom spout, on any kind of wooden pallet, according to customer’s requirements.
The products have a shelf life of 6 months, provided that they are stored in a clean, dry storage area under proper conditions.

Continuous casting
In Continuous Casting Machines, the tundish is the intermediate reservoir between the ladle and the water-cooled copper molds that receives the liquid steel from the ladle and subdivides it into strands of solidified steel. The tundish working lining should ensure the steel cleanliness, keep steel casting temperature steady and protect the safety lining from premature wear.
