The tundishes are located in the final stage of the liquid steel production process. Liquid steel from the ladles or the converters is fed to the tundishes to provide a constant flow of steel for continuous casting. Depending on the specific process of each steel plant, tundishes may be in contact with molten steel for very long periods of time, in long sequence casting. This sequence varies from 5 to more than 40 hours. The permanent lining of the tundishes has to be protected from the contact with the hot metal and basic monolithic refractory grades are forming the working lining. Our materials can competitively satisfy any user’s requirement.
